Our Quick Edit feature lets you effortlessly make precise changes to your website. Whether you’re updating text, replacing images, or adjusting layout elements, this tool gives you full control over your site’s design.
Best of all, using Quick Edit does not consume your credits! Here’s a simple guide to help you make the most of it:
Step 1: Access Your Project
Log in to your heyBoss account and go to your Project Dashboard.
Select the project you want to edit and open it in Quick Edit Mode.
Once inside, you’ll see your page is now editable — simply click on any part you want to change!
Step 2: Edit Text, Images, Backgrounds ,and Link URLs
In Quick Edit Mode, you can directly adjust your page’s text, images, Hero section, and Change Button Click Action
Edit Text
Hover over any text block and click to edit.
You can:
Change font size
Update text color
Add animations (like entrance or hover effects)
Replace Images
Click on an image to:
Upload from your device
Choose from Elements
Or paste an image URL to load it directly
After replacing, you can drag to resize the image for a perfect fit.
Replace Icon
Hover over any icon (e.g. feature icons, buttons, social media links) and click to edit.
You can:
Choose a different icon from the built-in icon library
Upload your own SVG file for full customization
Adjust icon size and color
Add animations (like hover effects or entrance transitions)
Update Dynamic Backgrounds
Click the background area to upload a new video or select one from your library.
Adjust the section height to make your layout fit your content.
This is a great way to refresh the look of your page while keeping everything clean and aligned.
Instantly Update Link URLs
Select an icon or button that already has a link.
Paste the desired URL into the URL input field in the pop-up panel.
⚠️Note：Only elements that already include a link can be updated.
Change Button Click Action
Hover over the button you want to configure and click on it to open the settings panel.Under the "Click Action" section, you can choose from the following options:
Select a Click Action
Set the button to jump to a specific section on the same page. This is useful for creating smooth scroll effects or one-page navigationOpen URL in New Tab
Input an external link. When users click the button, it will open the specified URL in a new browser tab.Navigate to a Subpage
Link the button to one of your existing subpages within the same project.
Step 3: Save and Publish
Once you’re done editing, click the Save All Changes button at the top right.
Then click Publish to sync all your updates to the live site.
🔔 Reminder: Your changes will only be visible to visitors after you save and publish!
Looking for More Advanced Edits?
Quick Edit Mode is great for fast, visual updates. But if you need deeper customizations, heyBoss offers two powerful options:
Select Mode: Perfect for precise, targeted edits. for example assign actions to specific buttons. Simply select the element and tell the AI what you want to change.
AI Edit Mode: Ideal for larger-scale changes, like redesigning layouts or adding new sections. Just describe your request in the prompt box, and the AI will handle the adjustments
💡 Tip: Quick Edit Mode doesn’t consume credits, while Select Mode and AI Edit Mode do, as they involve AI processing.
