What is Customer Management in HeyBoss?

HeyBoss projects include built-in Customer Management (CRM) features that help you organize, track, and manage your customer relationships.

Perfect for small businesses, freelancers, and entrepreneurs who need a simple way to manage customer information.


Accessing Customer Management

  1. Open your project in HeyBoss

  2. Navigate to "Customers" or "CRM" section

  3. View your customer list


Adding Customers

Manual Entry

Add customers one at a time:

  1. Click "Add Customer" or "New Customer"

  2. Fill in customer information:

    • Name

    • Email

    • Phone

    • Company

    • Notes

  3. Save the customer record

Import from CSV

Bulk import customers from a spreadsheet:

  1. Prepare a CSV file with customer data

  2. Click "Import Customers"

  3. Upload your CSV file

  4. Map columns to customer fields

  5. Review and confirm import

Import from Gmail

Import contacts directly from your Gmail account:

  1. Click "Import from Gmail"

  2. Authorize HeyBoss to access your Google contacts

  3. Select contacts to import

  4. Confirm import

Privacy Note: HeyBoss only imports the contacts you select and does not access your emails.


Managing Customer Information

View Customer Details

Click on any customer to view:

  • Full contact information

  • Interaction history

  • Notes and tags

  • Associated projects or orders

Edit Customer Information

Update customer details as needed:

  • Click "Edit" on the customer record

  • Modify any field

  • Save changes

Add Notes and Tags

Keep track of important information:

  • Notes: Add detailed notes about interactions, preferences, or history

  • Tags: Organize customers with labels (e.g., "VIP", "Lead", "Active")

Delete Customers

Remove customer records if needed:

  • Select the customer

  • Click "Delete"

  • Confirm deletion

  • Warning: This cannot be undone

Find customers quickly:

  • Search by name, email, or company

  • Filter by tags

  • Sort by date added, name, or custom fields
